Dark & Stormy - Wooden Leg (Original mix)

Dark & Stormy has just released an EP full of driving techno tracks. The EP is called “Rain Dance" and consists of four originals largely recorded live PA style for an approximate total listening time of 15 minutes. Brooklyn, NY's Dark & Stormy cites as main artistic influences John Coltrane, Truncate, Mr. Fingers, Roni Size, and LTJ Bukem. His sound is influenced by these artists, however, it has a layer of something fresh and unique on top of that. With an emphasis on percussion, 90s rave vibes and plenty of unique innovation for a contemporary flair “Rain Dance” by Dark & Stormy has a little something for everybody in techno scene. Asked to describe the overall meaning of “Rain Dance,” Dark & Stormy writes, “This EP is really inspired by the sort of silence that sets in on a snowy cold night in New York. I wanted to create songs that evoked that feeling that you get from those types of moments but also something that you could dance to.”

Like Mercury, the planet, we are split into two. The half of us freezes in endless darkness, while the other half glitters with a perfect shade of orange under the rays of our one and only sun. We thus become the Mercurials. We live through different tones of life, swinging from ice to fire. Mercurial Tones is a music academy that seeks to unearth this cacophony of emotions so as to be able to express them without losing their overwhelming sway.
